I liked the back-and-forth between the author, who narrates Claudette's story, and excerpts from interviews with Claudette, in which she tells about things in her own words. Interesting story about a little-known character in the civil rights movement.

I thought this was an amazing book, very readable and engrossing. I thought that tweens and teens would really like the story showing how a young person stood up and worked to change an unjust situation - even though the adults around her weren't ready to act. I've recommended it to several friends. Thanks for including it!

Thought readers might like to see Claudette Colvin today. Author Phillip Hoose and Claudette have spent the year talking with teen readers.

I have just gathered up all the audio and photos and created a short YouTube. I think readers will see that the spark that drove Claudette to stand alone again segregation is still there!
