2010 REAL Sibert Award Winners

The winners of several youth media awards were announced yesterday morning at the ALA Midwinter Meeting. Information about all of the award winners can be found at the ALA website.

Of course, on this blog we're most excited about those honored with the Sibert Award, so here they are:

The 2010 Robert F. Sibert Medal was awarded to:

Almost Astronauts: 13 Women Who Dared to Dream by Tanya Lee Stone

Three Sibert Honor Books were named:

The Day-Glo Brothers: The True Story of Bob and Joe Switzer's Bright Ideas and Brand-New Colors by Chris Barton

Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11 by Brian Floca

Claudette Colvin: Twice Toward Justice by Phillip Hoose
