This is a great book with so many stories. It was a discussion topic at the Southern Festival of the Book in Nashville, Tennessee in October. Linda Johnson Robb, Patricia and Fredrick McKissak and Mary Briget Barrett were all there to talk about the work they had contributed to the book. Since it was published before the election in you can even go online to download a sticker of Obama(and McCain) so the book is not out of date.

This is an incredible book. Just full of fascinating bits. I am troubled by the many pieces that were "imagined". While they are interesting, can the imagined really be informational?

I agree with Heather. In fact, I have set it aside for now because of the imagined parts and I need to move on to other books that might be discussed.
