I liked this book a lot. I enjoyed learning about Art Tatum and have placed one of his recordings on hold. My only criticism is that I would have appreciated less visual descriptions and more sound and smell and touch descriptions since Art Tatum's eye sight was limited.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the way the story was told in first person made the book more personal. I also thought the illustrations complimented the story perfectly. I thought the voice the author used to tell this story was really unique and easy to relate to. THis book would be great to use in a music class when teaching on jazz and contemporary style music.
