2011 REAL Sibert Award Winners

The winners of several youth media awards were announced last month at the ALA Midwinter Meeting. Information about all of the award winners can be found at the ALA website.

Of course, on this blog we're most excited about those honored with the Sibert Award, so here they are:

ACPL 2011 Mock Sibert Award Winner and Honor Books

This afternoon a group of five dedicated children's book readers gathered to discuss a long list of children's informational titles published in 2010. We learned a lot from each other and from our discussion about authority, documentation, organization, clarity, presentation style and more! In the end, we selected our Mock Sibert Award winner and three honor books.
