What a wonderful example of really great nonfiction for kids! This book is multi-layered: it's a biography of one scientist, an example of the scientific method and research, an informational book about frogs and ecology, and an inspirational true story about one man's career and dreams.

Dr. Tyrone Hayes' story is one that kids can relate to: a real-life guy (with earrings!) who realizes his childhood dream and ends up doing what he loves...and doing it very well.

This is a must-read among the titles on our list so far...don't miss it!
