A young city boy, riding the subway, finds an abandoned book about redwoods. He finds himself in the very forest described in the book. After finishing the book, he leaves it for someone else to read.

I love the way that the information in this book is presented.
The text is fairly straightforward, but the illustrations do a great job of really showing the information. The scope is a broad introduction to redwoods, but also includes lots of interesting details.
I found this book to be very engaging and informative - it made me add seeing the redwoods to my list of someday/maybe things to do.
