Welcome to the ACPL Mock Sibert blog!
We're excited about all the new informational books for kids that will be published in 2011 and we look foward to highlighting some of the best here. We hope you'll join the discussion by leaving comments on the titles we post. If you'd like to suggest a title for our list, simply leave a comment or send us an email.
In January of 2012, we'll get together in person to talk about our favorites and vote for our Mock Sibert Award winners. Watch for details to be published later this year.

Wonderful book--the writing, the scholarship, the design, and even the physical book itself. Here we meet the Lincolns in many ways, some familiar, some unexpected (which is amazing considering the vast number of books about the Lincolns). Candace Fleming writes with a confident, personal voice that reveals the Lincolns and their world. The research is sound, obviously based on primary sources, but she presents the information with the excitement of a storyteller. Read this book!
Excellent title. I could pour over the pages for hours.
I am big on organization and I found the information hard to take in the way it is presented. I would love to browse this title, but not to read it cover to cover.
