2008 REAL Sibert Award Winners

Just in case you missed the Youth Media Awards announcements from ALA on January 14 and all the subsequent publicity surrounding the award winners, you can view a list of them on the ALA website.

Of course, on this blog, we're most excited about those honored with the Sibert Award for informational books, so here they are:

The 2008 Robert F. Sibert Medal was awarded to:

• The Wall: Growing Up Behind the Iron Curtain, written and illustrated by Peter Sis

Two Sibert honor books were named:

• Lightship, written and illustrated by Brian Floca
• Nic Bishop Spiders, written and illustrated by Nic Bishop
